Here we have an Audi Q5 3.2 six cylinder. The problem is that we have a fault code for the secondary air injection system. We replace the secondary injection pump which was bad but did not correct the problem. The fault is coming from both of the banks. There’s a common problem with these engines described in the service bulletin 01 16 69 2033001/8. The passages inside the head are clogged.

To correct the issue you need to manually clean the passages. There are different procedures and tools on how you can do it. Water pressure is used to clean it by Audi. We prefer to stay away from water so using an alternative tools we cleaned the passages and correct the problem. You can see before and after in the video.
